Dr. Kelly Lake brings more than 29 years of experience in education to her role as Director of the SRU/SGA Preschool & Childcare Center. Throughout her career, she has served as a Teacher, Literacy Specialist, Education Coach, Education Supervisor, and School Leader, with expertise in Early Childhood Education, Family Engagement, and Program Leadership.
A proud graduate of Slippery Rock University, Dr. Lake has a lifelong connection to the Center and the SRU community. As a child, she attended the Preschool & Childcare Center, later volunteered there as a high school student, and worked there as both an undergraduate and graduate student. Her son, Nico, also attended the Center, making her return as Director a full-circle experience.
Dr. Lake is passionate about creating high-quality learning experiences for children, fostering strong partnerships with families and the community, and supporting educators in their professional growth. She is honored to serve the children, families, and staff at the Center while giving back to the community that helped shape her educational journey.

Head Preschool Teacher
Cyan Lucas began working at the preschool in 2025 as a head teacher. Cyan has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a concentration in International Education.
Cyan enjoys crafting, cooking, roadtrips, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Julia Williamson

Head Preschool Teacher
Julia Williamson began working at the preschool in 2006 as a head teacher. Julia has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Certificate as well as a Master's degree in Elementary Math and Science, both from SRU. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration with a focus on Higher Education.
Julia enjoys spending time outside, shopping, working out, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Chrissy Mulato

Head Preschool Teacher
Chrissy Mulato began working at the preschool in 2014 as a head teacher. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Math and Science.
Chrissy enjoys spending time with family, reading, creating, watching her kids do what they enjoy, and traveling.
Alyssa Cribbs

Head Preschool Teacher
Alyssa Cribbs began working at the preschool in 2018 as a head teacher. Alyssa has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Certificate from SRU. She is currently working on her Master's degree as a K-12 Reading Specialist and Instructional Coaching.
Alyssa enjoys being outside, going to the beach, baking/cooking, and spending time with her family.
